History

The Edmond Memorial Bulldog band program was founded in 1938 and over many years has developed a tradition of musical excellence.  Under the current structure the Edmond Memorial band program has three main middle school feeders from Cimarron Middle School, Central Middle School, and Oakdale Middle School. The high school consists of the marching band, two concert ensembles and two jazz ensembles.

The Edmond Memorial marching band has been a consistent award winning group for many years.  They perform for home and a few away football games as well as various state, regional and national marching competitions.  The Bulldog Band recently attended the Bands of America St. Louis Regional Competition in 2012 and 2015 and the Bands of America Grand Nationals Competition in Indianapolis in 2014.

The concert bands have been a driving force for the program with numerous sweepstakes awards throughout the years.  The concert bands consist of the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band and Concert Band.

The Jazz Ensembles at Edmond Memorial continue to grow and be one of the top programs in the state.  They perform in many community activities and consistently get superior ratings at contest.
